Indian National Congress: was founded on 28th December, 1885 by
A.O. Hume. Its first session was held at Bombay under Presidentship
of W.C. Bonnerji.
A resolution asking for complete independence of India was passed
in the Congress session held at Lahore in 1929 under the Presi-dentship of Jawahar Lal Nehru.
